The Quetzalcoatlus was a carnivorous dinosaur from the Lower Cretaceous period. With an enormous wingspan of up to 36 feet, this flying reptile hunted small dinosaurs over land. It was one of the largest known flying animals of all time and is a member of a family of advanced toothless pterosaurs with unusually long, stiffened necks. It is portrayed as seizing a baby Alamosaurus.
