Skill Level: Beginner to Advanced
Join renowned finish work artist Stephanie Blaylock as she teaches students how to paint an incredible Fleabitten grey horse using pan pastels, acrylics, and colored pencils in this incredible two-day workshop. Registration for this session on Friday automatically registers you for the Saturday at 10:00 am class, so be sure you don’t have any conflicts for either day before signing up. You cannot participate in the Saturday session without participating in the Friday session.
In the first part of this two-day workshop, Steph will show participants how to create the basecoat and then move on to splattering the fleabites. This first class will focus on patterning as well as teach techniques for working with acrylics and pastels. Part two, “Face the Face” will focus on facial details, including pinking and eyes. This class is suited to all skill levels, but some painting experience would be helpful. A Freedom Series scale model will be provided to students participating in this session.
Please note that Friday session for this class is at the same time as Sleipnir Runestones, Bone to Bust, Intro to Collecting and Showing Model Horses, and Mini Dala Horse Earrings and the Saturday session of this class is at the same time as Model Horse Landvaettir, How to Paint Your Dragon, Icelandic Black Sand Beach Bases, and Traditional Scale Julbocks.
